Bangladesh off-spinner Aliss Al Islam has been reported for suspect bowling action during the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Tri-Series match against Afghanistan, International Cricket Council announced on Thursday (October 22).
When mystery spinner Aliss was picked for the tri-nation ODIs, Cricbuzz had queried BCB chief selector Habibul Bashar if he some action issues, but Bashar insisted that it was fine. “We picked him because he is bowling and no problem was found as far as his action is concerned,” Habibul had told this website.
There were questions raised over his action as Aliss had previously been called for suspect action in 2019 during his debut T20 game for Dhaka Dynamites in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Aliss got clearance to bowl, but in 2025 he was again called for suspect bowling action in BPL while playing for Chittagong Kings against Dhaka Capitals, and only continued to carry on with his career after being cleared later in the BCB testing centre.
